Austin, Texas is nothing short of the coolest city in the world and everyone is finally recognizing that. With the latest artist exodus into the south, we should all be paying attention to what the people of Austin are wearing and doing. Fashion inspires creativity and the creatives in Austin have the color and soul that we’ve all been searching for over the past few years. The uptick in dopamine dressing is not a trend here, it’s a way of life.
Whimsical, carefree confidence
I began my style series with a curiosity in street style cultivated specfically by Austinites. I reached out to multi-passionate locals on Instagram to find out more about their process and what drives their style. I was met with an overall joyful attitude and playfulness that inspired the series’ branding.

I conceptualized this series with one phrase in mind: artists are everywhere.
Good art speaks for itself and that was the case with everyone I interviewed for WPAW. I knew I wanted to keep the brand at the forefront of trends without losing the charm and heritage of Austin, being deeply rooted in live music and community. The series is meant to convey an underground, nonchalant coolness while keeping the inclusivity of its subject matter.
